Helen started veterinary nursing in 2001 and has a particular interest in anaesthesia and critical care. She is a qualified pet health counsellor and is on hand to advise on all aspects of animal care. She gained her certificate in emergency and critical care in 2013 and her advanced nursing diploma in January 2017.
As we are a veterinary nurse training practice, Helen is one of our clinical coaches meaning she oversees the next generation of student nurses on a daily basis.
In her spare time she enjoys horse riding and going to the gym. Helen lives in Warrington with her husband and their Border Terrier, Dolly.

Amy Farrimond RVN
Head Veterinary Nurse
Amy joined Rees Vets in August 2011 where she started as an animal nursing assistant. She then progressed to begin her level 3 diploma in veterinary nursing and qualified in November 2015. Amy has since completed the emergency and critical care module of the MiNurse Academy and will shortly be starting a diagnostic imaging course to further her knowledge. Last year she also gained the oral care nurse certificate. Amy is a clinical coach which means she takes new students under her wing and mentors them during their journey to becoming veterinary nurses. Amy has a keen interest in radiography, venepuncture and medical nursing of hospitalised patients. She has a feline companion called Milo who she adopted from the practice and hand reared him from a few weeks of age.

Helen joined All Creatures in July 2017 having worked at several other practices previously. She qualified in 1991 and holds a certificate in dentistry and nutrition. Helen lives with her two cats and has a particular interest in dentistry. In her spare times she likes to go to the theatre.


Debbie Oakes RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Deb joined Rees as a Kennel maid when she was 12 and never escaped! She qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1998. She enjoys in patient care, nurse clinics, anaesthesia and monitoring surgical patients. She has completed her Advanced Medicine module in the MiNurse Academy and is currently working towards the Emergency and Critical Care module. Her spare time is spent with her husband and children who love walking and the outdoors; she is also an avid fan of Warrington Wolves.


Emily Owens RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Emily joined Rees in November 2016 as a Patient Care Assistant apprentice. She progressed from this position by beginning the Veterinary Nursing diploma course, passing her final exams to become a Veterinary Nurse in November 2021.
Emily has a keen interest in anaesthesia and lab work and is looking forward to focusing on these subjects now that’s she has qualified, building on the skills she has learned over the past few years.
Emily loves being part of the Rees and All Creatures family and the thrill of experiencing what surprises each day has to offer.

Kerry Roberts
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Kerry joined the team here at All Creatures Vets in May 2018 as a student veterinary nurse. Kerry is particularly interested in exotics and medical nursing of hospitalised patients.
At home she owns three guinea pigs named Odin, Alice and Belle, a fish tank, two Springer Spaniels and three chickens.

Abbie Hilton
Student Veterinary Nurse
Abbie joined All Creatures Veterinary Centre in September 2017 as an auxiliary nurse and started training to be a veterinary nurse in September 2018. She has three dogs: a Miniature Pinscher, a Labrador and a Border Terrier. Most of Abbie’s spare time is spent looking after and riding her pony Leah but she also enjoys training her Miniature Pinscher Romeo and hopes to start some agility training with him in the future.


Simone McIntyre
Student Veterinary Nurse
In 2019, Simone graduated from the University of Salford with a BSc (Hons) degree in Zoology. Simone joined the team at All Creatures Veterinary Centre in May 2019.
In September 2021, she started training to become a registered veterinary nurse at Chestergates Veterinary Nursing School. Simone has a keen interest in parasitology and enjoys working in the on-site laboratory.
She has three cats called Popcorn, Tabby and Sherbet.

Becki Moffatt
Student Veterinary Nurse
Becki joined Rees Veterinary Centre in December 2019 as a PCA, and started her veterinary nurse training in September 2021. She has a particular interest in inpatient care and internal medicine.
In her spare time she enjoys family walks with her partner and two children. She has two cats named Joey and Sammy and two rabbits named Thunder and Peter.

Leah Begley
Patient Care Assistant
Leah joined Rees Veterinary Centre in October 2021 as a patient care assistant. She has qualified as a Veterinary Care Assistant previously in Reaseheath College in 2020.
Leah is a ‘cat advocate’ and hopes to become a RVN in the future. She has two dogs Bobby and Lola, and 3 cats named Maddox, Shiloh and Fluffy.
